A gated estate off Paddockhall Road that was built in the 1960s in the grounds of a Victorian house called Winnals which itself was built in a former field called Front meadow according to Cuckfield's 1843 tithe map. There are six blocks in total all named after noted exponents of English literature, the one in view is Byron House.

A cul de sac off Lucastes Avenue which initially contained three cottages built between the wars including Culross Cottage whose timber framed gable can be seen on the right from which the road was named in the 1970s.

Boltro Road, Haywards Heath
Linking Muster Green North to Market Place and named after a farm dating back to the 16th century which still stands at the southern end of the road. The section in view is the northern end and contains some mid 19th century properties which originally formed an early centre of commercial activity around the station. Some of the villas from same period still stand on the western side but many have been replaced by flats and offices on the eastern side. The new building to the right is the town's job centre.

Milton Road, Haywards Heath
Part of the gyratory system on the western side of the station and much changed from its origin as a residential cul de sac laid out during the last quarter of the 19th century. It became a through road when Harlands Road was built in the late 1950s and widened in the 1970s first losing the 19th century housing to Milton House, the office block on the right, then losing more to the left on the construction of

Pink building in Boltro Road
I am grateful to Simon Fitzpatrick for the information that this building was erected in about 1889 by the Capital & Counties Bank. It was taken over by Lloyds in the 1940s and eventually closed as a bank in the late 1990s. The building currently (August 2008) contains commercial offices.
