Taking the London-Brighton line over small valley formed by a tributary of the western Adur. Taken from Valebridge Road, an old route which now connects Burgess Hill to Haywards Heath. The gate to the left is an entrance to Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve.

Bedeland Farm Local Nature Reserve
The Nature Reserve consists of ancient meadows, woodland, hedgerows and ponds, covering 33 hextares (80 acres). Since 1994, in consultation with the District Council and the University of Sussex, the Friends group have been surveying the wildlife and keeping records so that a comprehensive management plan can be devised and implemented for the conservation of all the flora and fauna and the public's enjoyment http://www.burgesshill.gov.uk/bedelands
