Awaiting Development, Star Road Trading Estate, Star Road, Partridge Green
There is planning permission to build units on the site of an old works which was demolished a few years ago. Originally this part of the trading estate was the site of the old railway siding for Hillman's Brickyard which operated here from the late 19th century until the 1920s.

Units 1-6, Star Road Trading Estate, Star road, Partridge Green
Unit 1 is occupied by a commercial printers, Alien Graphics, though I'm unsure if any others are being used seeing that all the units were available for sale in 2015. The building is located on the site of the eastern end of Meyer's Wood which was extended into by neighbouring Hillman's Brickworks on the 1911 OS map but had reverted to wood by the 1938 edition which it remained until the 1970s when the trading estate was built.

Site of former Partridge Green station, 2002
View eastward from B2133 Star Road, the ex-LB&SCR Horsham - Christ's Hospital (to left) - Shoreham-by-Sea - (Brighton) line ran roughly parallel here, the station being just to the right, until the station and line closed completely from 7/3/66. (Believe it or not).

The trading estate was built in the 1970s with this unit built on the site of the old Hillman's Brickworks which operated from the late 19th century until about the 1920s and was the only one of the three brickworks in the village that possessed a railway siding.
