Looking principally at the roofs of the Eagles Nest pub, which later closed after police objected to the renewal of the licence. It later reopened as The Tower, a more upmarket bar with food.

Closed Victorian pub on the corner of High Street and Cromwell Road (originally West Street) rebuilt in the 1930s. Originally the Tower, it went though various name changes in the late 20th/early 21st Century - Crocks, then the Office, then the Dog and Duck (see Image before reverting its original name in 2014 (see Image). Finally in April 2016 it further renamed as the Eagle's Nest, the landlord being a Crystal Palace FC supporter, and was repainted in the club's colours (as seen here). (Despite this final name change, it retained a Tower pub sign, seen hanging at the corner of the building). However, after a failure to obtain a renewed licence, it closed in September 2016 and its future is uncertain.

A pub has stood on this site since at least the 1880s. It was originally called The Tower. It was rebuilt in its present form around the 1930s, but retained its original name. During the 1990s it underwent a number of name changes - firstly Crocks, then The Office and finally, in 1998, its present name, the Dog and Duck. Sited at the junction of Cromwell Road and High Street.
