If you think this is bad you should see the entrance
A view of the access road to/from Crawley Hospital. The observant amongst you will notice a certain conflict between the road markings and the road signs. Someone has decided to change the direction of traffic flow through the hospital grounds and this will be the exit. Not concealing the road markings until the day of the change seems penny-pinching until you consider the other end of the one-way system. That is now marked as the entry but it is still the exit so the new road markings are provoking a head-on collision. Improved traffic flow may be the intention but, seeing as the one-way system has been in place for over ten years, most people will just drive in the way they 'know' is the entrance. Especially if they are a bit distracted which is not unheard in those going to a hospital (in a hurry). I think they should have erected enormous signs (at least the size of a car) which you would be less likely to miss.

Crawley Hospital
Some services, such as A & E, have closed, transferred to Reigate and Redhill, but it has been refurbished and survives. The near entrance is for the 'Urgent Treatment Centre' - presumably for walking wounded.
