The end walk of a series of parallel walks branching off a main walk at right angles heading left behind the bush, all collectively called Oulton Walk.

PRA, on the left, is a 132 kV line supplying Three Bridges Main substation (UK Power Networks) from Bolney National Grid substation. PYB is a 132 kV three conductor route formerly heading south from Three Bridges Main substation, but now truncated at pylon PYB 7 because of network changes. As far as the visible pylon the PYB pylons carry three conductors on the right for the 132 kV route PYA to Dormansland, route PYA may be seen turning sharply off to the right.

The railway is to the right, with a footpath under it to Maidenbower just beyond the pylon.

This bridge has been recently widened to accommodate further sidings in connection with the stabling of forthcoming 12 car Thameslink trains. Originally built for two tracks, around 1900 it was widened to six tracks, four running and two sidings, and later in the 20th century further widened for another siding*. All of these widenings used abutting brick arches of identical cross-section. This latest widening uses a flat concrete flat span. * This seems likely to have given its name to the currently plated name for the bridge, the rather odd 'Tip Siding / Lane'. There never was a lane here - it is currently a public footpath, formerly a footpath and farm link.

A local nature reserve, which is really a prettified flood meadow or balancing pond for a stream (off to the left) which emerges from a culvert under the built-up area and feeds into the Gatwick Stream. Here a path crosses a link between a pond to the right and the stream.
