The Swan Inn, Great Shefford, West Berkshire
Looking a little forlorn at the moment. The inn is built along the bank of the little River Lambourn, which runs behind it, beneath the trees.

Great Shefford: The Swan Inn
The Swan Inn is on the A338 road by the River Lambourn in Great Shefford. A look at old Ordnance Survey maps of the area shows that Great Shefford was known as West Shefford up to about 1900 and that there used to be a long building, possibly stables for the inn, roughly between what is now the pub car park and the main road.
