River Kennet at Eddington
The river runs through two channels, visible in the background, before coming together to run beneath the bridge providing the viewpoint. For a closer look at the western channel, to the left, see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1353925

A closer view of the Kennet at Eddington
The River Kennet is a chalk stream that rises at Swallowhead Springs near West Kennett (sic). For its length from the source to Woolhampton east of Newbury it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The section of river in view here is the westernmost of two short channels seen in this image http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1353822

Eddington, by the River Kennet
Eddington is a small development just north-east of Hungerford. It appears to contain mostly modern dwellings like these.

A duck of some sort, River Kennet, Eddington
Efforts to identify this duck have failed. It could be a hybrid as ducks are not particularly fussy when it comes to partners.

Canada geese on the River Kennet, Eddington
This pair has only one gosling. Normally these geese have clutches of between 5 and 7 eggs so the likelihood is that the others have been predated. This doesn't really matter. Canada geese are an introduced species.

Ergo Plus House, Eddington
An old industrial building now occupied by Ergo Plus Facilities Management.
I am guessing the patio doors into thin air at this end must have some sort of fire escape equipment behind them.
