Old Milestone by the A673, Bolton Road, Heath Charnock
Metal plate attached to stone post by the A673, in parish of HEATH CHARNOCK (CHORLEY District), Heath Charnock, near Adlington, at junction with the A6, by traffic lights on verge, on East side of road. Bolton Plate, erected by the Bolton & Nightingale turnpike trust in the 19th century.

The junction where the A673 from Bolton joins the A6. On this side of the traffic lights, the A6 is Westhoughton Road; joining from the right is Chorley Road (A673). After the traffic lights, the A6 continues as Bolton Road.
