Arkwright House, Stoneygate, Preston
A fine Georgian house, if "over-restored". Stuccoed. The pediment above the door is post-1972. Grade II* listed. More notable (and probably explaining the star rating) as the place where Richard Arkwright developed his water frame in 1768.
