Shanklin Theatre, Isle of Wight
Originally opened as The Institute in 1878 but after a serious fire it was reconstructed - architects Cooper & Corbett - and reopened as the theatre in 1934. Some parts of the original were incorporated into the new. Currently listed Grade 2.

Shanklin Theatre
Theatre on Steephill Road. The original building on the site was the Literary and Scientific Institute, built in 1878-9. This became the town hall in 1913, before being rebuilt as a theatre in 1933-4 following a fire. The architects for the reconstruction were Messrs Cooper and Corbett.
