Fox Hall
Built in the early 1700s for the Duke of Richmond. It was his hunting lodge, provided so he could attend the hunt first thing in the morning and presumably collapse after the evening events in the hunt dining room which was built across the lane. The hall is now holiday accommodation available through the Landmark Trust.

Fox Hall - fireplace in the main room
The first floor of the hunting lodge formed the main room of the Duke of Richmond's accommodation. The room filled almost the entire floor with an alcove for the Duke's bed. This rather fine fireplace on the north wall (complete with working wind direction indicator) provided the heating.
