Built in the early 1700s for the Duke of Richmond. It was his hunting lodge, provided so he could attend the hunt first thing in the morning and presumably collapse after the evening events in the hunt dining room which was built across the lane. The hall is now holiday accommodation available through the Landmark Trust.
