The old Methodist Chapel, Darite
The Methodist Chapel at Darite, a modest building, smaller than many of the other chapels in the area. The village of Darite was originally named Railway Terrace, in view of the fact that it overlooked the spur of the Liskeard and Caradon Mineral Railway which ran alongside its main street.

Darite
Darite is a village which was created around 1860 with the coming of the railway line which has long since closed. Its original name was Railway Terrace. It housed mainly miners working on the Caradon Hill mines.
