Victoria Place, Plymouth
"Victoria Place is a planned terrace of five properties dating from the mid 19th century. These are of three storeys with three-bay frontages, with stucco detailing including moulded window surrounds, a band between the ground and first floors, and a moulded entablature. Four of the houses also have porches with pilastered doorways and moulded entablatures. However the character of this terrace has been severely eroded by the mix of replacement windows, loss of decorative mouldings and the use of modern render" http://www.plymouth.gov.uk/stonehouse_peninsula_conservation_area_appraisal_and_management_plan_part_6.pdf . Consequently the terrace is unlisted.

Former mill building, Millbay Road, Plymouth
"The elegant single storey building on the east side of Victoria Terrace once fronted part of Valletort Mills and makes a very positive contribution to the street scene" http://www.plymouth.gov.uk/stonehouse_peninsula_conservation_area_appraisal_and_management_plan_part_6.pdf . Brian Moseley's site provides the following information about Valletort Mills. Built for Messrs Congdon & Harris, they were later acquired by the Cornish firm of Messrs Hosken, Trevithick & Polkinhorn Company Ltd, who already owned many flour, wool and provender mills throughout Cornwall. Originally operated by Trevithick's steam engines, during their ownership the two mills, one for flour and the other for animal feed, were ... changed over to electrical power ... The last flour mills in Plymouth, {they} ceased operation at the end of September 1976, putting 200 local people out of work." http://www.plymouthdata.info/Mills-Valletort.htm
