A9 Loaninghead Infrastructure Upgrade Works
A Sustainable Urban Drainage System. The sign explains it all but you aren't going to be able to read that at 640x resolution. So it's worth getting the higher resolution version to read the explanation of how the system of pools works to reduce the environmental impact of polluted water off the A9.

New road, Gleneagles
A short stretch of new road which links a single track road with the A823. The old junction with the A9 has been blocked off. This now means that there is a reasonable alternative to the A9 for some distance, but a farm road near Blackford does need the negotiation of locked gates.

A new road, Glen Eagles
A road has been put in to avoid the use of the A9 by traffic on the Drumfad road. Very welcome as the A9 has several junctions with minor roads. This means that to get from one quiet road to another you have usually got to negotiate a short stretch of the A9. These roads carry a lot of agricultural traffic best kept off a motorway in all but name.
