Winter sun, Perth High Street
The low winter sun has no impact at street level but lights up the bank facade and the spire of the redundant St Paul's Church which is receiving some attention.

Site of former Carthusian monastery, Perth
In 1426 King James I sought permission to build a Carthusian monastery (or Charterhouse), and construction began in 1429, supervised by John of Bute, a Cistercian monk. Unfortunately nothing remains today of Scotland's only Charterhouse, as the monastery was destroyed during the violent upheaval of the Reformation in 1559. However, this location does boast three royal burials - James I of Scotland, his queen, Joan Beaufort, and Margaret Tudor, wife of James IV of Scotland and sister of King Henry VIII of England.
