Murthly Goods Yard
Murthly was the first station on the Perth & Dunkeld Railway. It opened in April 1865. This siding in the goods yard was in use even before there was a ticket office. Passenger services ceased in 1965, but the goods yard continued to operate until 1969.

Druids Park Stone Circle
An incomplete circle of five stones (there is room for seven or eight). First mapped as five by James Stobie in 1783. So subsequent developments as a) Perthshire's Asylum for Pauper Lunatics (1864), and b) an upmarket housing estate (post 1986) are not to blame. The earth rampart and rhododendron are Victorian additions.

Milestone, Murthly
Milestone beside the B9099. Milestones did not come into general use until the Turnpike Act of 1766 made them compulsory on turnpike roads, these roads were built by private enterprise under licence from the Government and maintained by tolls on those who used them. Before this Act milestones were put up occasionally, often as charitable acts and commemorations. Many Turnpike Act stones still exist. They are usually 2-3 ft high, with the initial letter or abbreviation of the nearest market town show on two faces, and the distance from it.
