As one leaves Easton to the west (a dead end except for walkers) one passes the less pretty part of the village.

Dhillon's village store incorporates Easton's post office, which was called plain Easton until the 1970s before taking the name Easton-on-Hill, curiously omitting the 'the'. The postbox is a large Elizabeth II-reign one and is emptied finally at 4:30pm on weekdays and at 11am on Saturdays.

Yew Tree Farmhouse, number 2 High Street, was built in the 17th century, with the right bay added later that century. The house was altered in the early 19th century. Constructed of coursed limestone under a Collyweston stone slate roof. Some early 19th century internal fittings remain.
