I am not sure what this sign was warning people of. Perhaps a request to keep dogs under control among sheep, but there have been no sheep along here for a while now.

Bowmans Mews
Bowman and Son were a Stamford institution: a building contractor with a several hundred year tradition in building in stone and Collyweston slate. They were one of the "Men of Stones" specialising in local techniques. It was a huge surprise when they went bust in the 1990s, and the site of their once bizarre collection of workshops is now a very expensive housing estate.
