Built of carstone with Caen stone dressings in the Early English Style, the new St Mary's church was dedicated in 1859 and the old church was abandoned. A special feature found in this church is the sequence of glazed tiles > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1858839 used to commemorate donors, builders of the church, church wardens and communicants.
