South Gate Kings Lynn
View south towards the gate with the Honest Lawyer pub on the right hand side. The South Gate was originally built in the 1300's and it was rebuilt in the 1450's, The other side is made of ashlar stone, which looks impressive, but is only a facade which was added in 1520. The main structure as can be seen of this back view of the gate is actually bricks and mortar, which makes it one of the oldest surviving brick buildings in the country.
