Burnt-out shell of St Mary's Church
St Mary's was built in 1873 to a design by Thomas Henry Wyatt, who was also architect of St John's and St Peter's churches in March and St Peter's at Wimblington. On 15 March 2010 it was set ablaze deliberately.

St Mary's Church Westry - Why?
St Mary's church, Westry near March was completely gutted by a fire on Monday 15th March 2010 following a suspected arson attack. During the following few days all the charred remains of the roof timbers were removed, by David Humphrey and Son, along with small amounts of masonry, most noticeably the stone cross on the gable end.
