St Mary's church, Westry near March was completely gutted by a fire on Monday 15th March 2010 following a suspected arson attack. During the following few days all the charred remains of the roof timbers were removed, by David Humphrey and Son, along with small amounts of masonry, most noticeably the stone cross on the gable end. On the day of this photo scaffolding was being erected around the small bell tower. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1756942
