I'm guessing that the harpoon-like features in this fence recall the old times of the whaling industry.

Window, St Columba's Church
The windows of this church are composed of oblongs of softly-coloured (mainly pinks and greens) and colourless opaque glass, with a cross design near the apex. The central pane in the fourth row from the bottom is clear - the grid-effect is actually a similar window on the northern side of the church.
