The Star Inn, Stanton St John
The Star is the more traditional of the two pubs in the village, the other being the Talkhouse in Image, though one wonders whether both will survive the recession.

I enjoyed lunch and good beer here. See also Image - the face of the pub towards the car park is just on the grid line.
[Added in July 2009] We went back for a family lunch party, a buffet for 20, we all enjoyed the food and children enjoyed the play area.
