Television Transmitting Station, Beckley (1)
Situated in New Road OX3 9ST, this transmitter began BBC1 television programmes from February 1962 when the mast had a height of 506 feet. Subsequently BBC2, ITV and other TV Channels were added over the years. In September 2011, this transmitter was converted to digital operation and the mast height increased to 544 feet.
