St Michael and All Angels Church from The Greens, Leafield
This Church of England was completed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1874, although influenced by 13th century architecture. Pevsner's guide to Oxfordshire calls it "a powerful and severe design". The image is taken from The Greens, a village green to the west. The church's unusual spire can be seen for miles around, due to Leafield's height.

Cross on Leafield Green
The narrowing east end of Leafield Green looking towards the larger space to the west. The low building on the horizon closing the view along the road is the village school; the main green is beyond it.

These cottages have a wide view south across the main green and the Thames valley to the Berkshire Downs. The photograph I took of that is not good enough though.
