The Trout Inn, Wolvercote
The old stones of the picturesquely situated Trout Inn seen here bathed in late evening sunlight.
The pub is situated immediately adjacent to a branch of the Thames as it flows past Oxford through the village of Wolvercote, though a weir under the bridge next to the pub prevents this arm being navigable.

From Godstow Bridge
This is the famous Trout Inn, a popular watering hole next to the River Thames on the northern outskirts of Oxford, and featured in episodes of Morse. Tempting though it was to stop, whilst walking Shakespeare's Way, we had a little way to go to reach Oxford and rain was threatening.
