Launton: The Bull Inn
The Bull is a Grade II Listed Building, the exterior of which is comprehensively described in the English Heritage website thus:- "Public house. C17 and early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels; colourwashed rubble, brick and timber framing with brick nogging; plain-tile and thatch roofs with brick gable stacks. Long range of at least 2 builds. 2 storeys plus attics and one storey plus attics. Higher C18 rubble section has a 4-window front with tall casements at first floor (the middle windows blocked), renewed windows at ground floor (one a single-light) and the entrance in the right bay. Tiled roof with a small roof dormer, has linked gable stacks (3 to left and 2 to right) and the boxed eaves are carried on a moulded wooden cove. Long thatched section to right, curving forwards, has irregular altered fenestration in rubble and brick walls, but the bay to extreme left is timber framed and has some herringbone nogging. Roof is half-hipped to right and has one small dormer."
