Buildings in Woodstock High Street
Don't they look wonderful without a market, cars or lots of people in front of them? Shakespeare's Way passes along here, but he would not have recognised these buildings as they are all 17th century or later, mainly Georgian I should think.

Town Hall Before the Storm
There are quite a few pictures of Woodstock Town Hall already, but I just liked the lighting on this one. The Town hall was designed by Sir William Chambers and was built in 1766.

The Town Hall (1), Woodstock
On the left is Market Place, leading into Market Street, and on the right is High Street. The Town Hall was built in 1766 to a design by Sir Richard Chambers. Woodstock is much older than the adjoining Blenheim Palace. The town was a borough from 1453, when it obtained a Royal Charter, until the local government re-organisation of 1974. Today the Town Hall is used by Woodstock Town Council, and for functions. Image Image
