Wootton: the village store
The village store is situated on Church Street and was also the post office until its closure on 7 August 2008 - it was one of 2,500 offices to close in 2007-8 in a nationwide cull of branches. See Image for a close-up of the highly unusual postbox in the wall.

Wootton: postbox № OX20 349
This highly unusual postbox is set into the wall of the former post office - Image It is what is known as a 'carpenter's box' - a locally made wooden, nonstandard receptacle typically set into a post office wall such as here. They are perhaps more often found in very rural locations such as the highlands and islands of Scotland and, as these post offices have closed, the boxes have often been replaced by standard boxes. This is therefore a pretty rare survival.

Wedding transport outside Wootton Church. I believe it to be a Daimler Jag but I know resourceful people will soon correct me. It has been identified as a Daimler V8 250, thanks to those who helped with the identity.
