Wales Street, King's Sutton
A simple scene of Wales Street at dusk, in King's Sutton. This is also the one and only access road to the well served rail station, some 200 yards further around the bend.

Old George V postbox
The colours were bright, but it was only when checking the picture later that I noticed that the box is blocked off with no time plate. So it is disused and therefore probably kept painted by the owners of the house. Its context is here

The Post Office, King's Sutton
A simple image of the village Post Office, in King's Sutton. In days of old no doubt, the nearby railway (via Station Road) would have played an important part in running the village postal service.

The 'Hovis' building, King's Sutton
Just opposite the village Post Office, is this interesting building in Wales Street. Its original "Hovis" advertisement sign is still displayed, and must be at least pre-1960s? Also of interest, and easy to miss, is the original water tap, shown to the right. I assume this was originally a public water tap, maybe as drinking water? This building is well preserved in its heritage, and adds to King Sutton's character.

Flour Mill
From the Hovis sign on the wall this is possibly the old flour mill, although other knowledge would be welcome.

This Baptist church is a modest affair but is unusually close to the CofE church, no more than 200 metres away. It was established in 1846.
