Chipping Warden Telephone Exchange (2)
This photo taken on the A361 Byfield Road, shows the original white building to the right whilst the dark wooden building to the left was added more recently. Wild flora can be seen in the foreground. The numbering range of this TE is (01295) 660xxx, the (01295) referring to the Banbury group of TEs, and its postcode is OX17 1LD.

Chipping Warden Telephone Exchange (1)
Situated on the A361 Byfield Road, this white building was the original TE dating from the GPO era, whilst the brown building behind it was added more recently. Besides Chipping Warden, this TE also serves Aston le Walls and Edgcote nearby. The ventilation louvre seen on the front of this TE is presumably for air cooling purposes, so preventing the equipment inside it from overheating.

A361 - new Chipping Warden Bypass
The new road comes to an unsatisfactory end with a short dogleg via two roundabouts back to the old route. Hopefully this is only temporary, it appears the HS2 railway will cross here.
