Cottages, Bullockspits Lane
Farm cottages beside the improbably named Bullockspits Lane.
Does the name refer to some sort of hole where unfortunate cattle were put, or to a single bullock with a nasty habit. Could it be spits as in roasting. Perhaps we will never know.

House by the old A420
This section of road used to be the main road from Oxford to Faringdon. It was bypassed by the dual carriageway to the north. Beggar's Lane used to run North from here to the village via Harris's Lane but was cut off by the new road.
