Things have changed
A set of gates now stand at the entrance to the old farm at Fairmile hospital to allow contractors access to the site which is soon to be developed.

Cholsey Milestone
This is the only surviving milestone in the Cholsey boundary; there were two but the other disappeared when they built the bypass. This one has Wallingford 2 miles on one side and Reading 13 the other. There does seem to be something else but I can't make it out. The mile stone is shown here rather overgrown from the last time I took a photo of it. Had to rip off the Ivy to see what was written.

Bench mark at the farm
Finally got to get a photo of the bench mark at Fair Mile hospital farm, it's on the corner of the building you see here. Took it while documenting the hospital site as part of a project I am working on. Image

Fairmile Farm Cottages
I have just noticed that there are two styles of brickwork on this cottage, looks as though the one on the right has been extended at some time.
