Holy Trinity Church, Waterhead
A new parish was formed in Waterhead in 1844. At this time there was no local church building, so services were held in a room above 2 cottages. In order to serve the needs of the parish, this church was built and dedicated to the Holy and Undivided Trinity. It is a grand building, in the style of the 13th century, with space for up to 800 people. It was consecrated on 5 July 1847. http://www.medlockhead.co.uk/holy-trinity/index.htm (Church website)
