Jubilee Mill, Waterhead

Erected c1848 as Hague Street Mill and re-named in 1887 as a patriotic gesture. Spinning mill with 12,500 spindles in 1923 (a small one) and a 400 horsepower engine built in 1902 by Wood Bros of Sowerby Bridge. Ceased to operate in 1959 and now occupied by an engineering firm.
