'Antioch', Hollingworth Lake, near Rochdale
In 1996 the Antioch cottages were looking good, with neat window boxes adding to the appeal. The satellite dish, though, spoils it slightly.

The left hand cottage has had its windows replaced. IMHO this has rather spoiled its appearance.

'Antioch', near Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, Lancashire
It is 1968 here and these cottages have obviously been in receipt of a little TLC, as they are looking very smart. The name derives from a former Baptist chapel which stood just to the left of the cottages.

Antioch, near Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, Lancashire
This group of cottages takes its name from a small Methodist chapel which once stood adjacent, slightly to the left of the buildings shown here. This had been demolished long before this photograph was taken. It is clear that the cottages were once occupied by handloom weavers. Now modernised and with enlarged front gardens, the cottages still stand in 2007.
