Crocker's Folly
Legend has it that Crocker was so sure about this, that he built the pub because the railway terminus was (he was told) going to be across the road. The railway ended up at Marylebone instead and as a result, Crocker threw himself out of one of the upstairs windows.

Maida Hill Tunnel - east end
The shorter of the two tunnels on the Regent's Canal at 249 m, both without towpaths. The blue structure at the right is for electricity cables which normally are under the towpath - hence the arrangement of the paving slabs.

The walking route along the Regent's Canal has to leave the canal at the tunnel as there is no towpath. Here the route east returns to the towpath.
