Entrance to St Mary's Primary School, Kilburn
St Mary's Church of England Primary School is located on the corner of Quex Road and West End Lane. It was formally opened by the Bishop of London in July 1991. It replaced the original school located nearby, dating from 1872.

Church of the Sacred Heart, Kilburn
This large Roman Catholic church stands at the corner of Quex Road and Mazenod Avenue. The building was designed by Edward Welby Pugin and opened in 1879. Kilburn has traditionally had a significant Irish community (sometimes the area is affectionately referred to as 'County Kilburn') - many of whom worshipped here. In the 1960s - when the Irish community was probably at its peak - the church held 18 masses each Sunday.
