Seen adjacent to the junction with Montagu Road, the road has smart red brick terraced housing on the east side. The corner house was clearly once a corner shop.

Hendon: Midland Hotel
A typical Victorian railway station hotel, it was built in 1889 according to the plaque over the entrance arch. Greene King have attempted to update the image by calling it "the Mids", as evidenced by the pub sign. The road in front is the A504 Station Road. The grey girderwork to the left is a gantry over the M1 Motorway.

A Down fast freight thunders through Hendon Station
View southward, towards St Pancras; ex-Midland London St Pancras - Leicester - Sheffield trunk line. The train is on the Down Fast, coming from under the A504 Station Road bridge. It is headed by Hughes/Fowler 5P4F 2-6-0 No. 42846 of Burton-on-Trent (17B) and may be hurrying home.
