Scottish Crown postbox, Frognal Lane / Chesterford Gardens, NW3
There used to be a Victorian postbox here - see Image - which was presumably demolished by a passing car or lorry. Most Scottish Crown postboxes are found in, er ... Scotland, for example Image (photographed by Bill Harrison)
Bill is being mildly disingenuous in saying that "it had been pointed out that Elizabeth II was only the first Elizabeth to reign over Scotland": when EIIR postboxes were introduced in Scotland, many were vandalised, and one "famous" example at the Inch housing estate in Edinburgh had the royal cipher daubed with tar, and the door vandalised with a sledgehammer, before being blown apart with a gelignite bomb https://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/lost-edinburgh-the-queen-and-the-exploding-post-box-1-3529276 .
