Dorset House seen down Chagford Street
Dorset House is a large interwar block of flats, with shops and a garage occupying the ground floor. Apsley Cherry-Garrard (1886-1959), who took part in Captain Scott's 1912 expedition to Antarctica and wrote "The Worst Journey in the World", still considered a classic of polar exploration literature, spent the latter part of his life living here.
