Cypher of King George IV in Brunswick Place
King George IV was married to his first cousin, Caroline of Brunswick - a troubled marriage which he tried unsuccessfully to end. The ‘Delicate Investigation’ failed to achieve his desired objective, but he did succeed in denying her access to his coronation in 1821.
