A recent commercial development off Euston Road. A few trees have been planted to try and offset the hard stone and steel setting.

South side of Triton Square, evening
Looking towards the Euston Tower, with the offices of Santander, formerly Abbey, just out of shot, right. In the foreground the high-quality landscaping greets passers-by with formal rows of white cyclamen in a polished black granite planter.

University College Hospital, new building by Euston Road
The hospital, (architect, Llewelyn Davies) was completed in 2005. It is a complex site, part of it is very restricted on height to preserve a view from Parliament Hill to the Houses of Parliament. This view is from the North-West, across the Euston Road underpass.

Nelson's Triumph
This 19th century stone sculpture sits rather incongruously in the recently redeveloped Regents Place off Euston Road. It depicts Nelson's triumph at the battle of Cape St Vincent in 1797, and was originally going to be installed as part of the decoration of the Marble Arch (from an unofficial source: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ell-r-brown/4081021227/ ). Ventilation Shafts, Euston Road
These four curious fixtures are located just off Euston Road at the rear of the huge One Triton Square building, home of Abbey (the bank). They appear to be part of the air-conditioning system.

This box is in Regent Place. A fitting last photo to this sequence as I had started my walk through central London this day with another of them Image
