Yacon plantation in Alara Permaculture Forest Garden
Yacon is an Andean plant like a sunflower, with an edible root. These have been planted on a strip of land between a factory wall and a fence, one of various pieces of land around this industrial estate which have been regenerated to grow food by Alara Wholefoods, who made it available for public viewing as part of Open Garden Squares Weekend.
