Koko
This building at the bottom end of Camden High Street is now a music venue, but it has had a colourful history since it opened in 1900 as the Camden Theatre. Most notably after the Second World War it became a BBC radio theatre which earned it its blue plaque as the place where the 'last Goon Show of all' was recorded on 3oth April 1972.

Camden Theatre/Palace at night
The theatre on the corner of Camden High Street and Crowndale Road was opened by Ellen Terry in 1901 and since then has been through many transformations and hosted many famous performers from Charlie Chaplin through the Goons to the Sex Pistols and Madonna. It remains a music venue and since 2006 has been known as Koko.

The Hope and Anchor, Crowndale Road
This old pub, despite standing right behind the 'Koko' at the Camden Palace, has retained its old tiled facade and a figure of a bearded sailor, with anchor and lamp, standing guard above.

The Hope and Anchor, Camden Town
Generally lacking much in the way of gardens, pubs in inner London often have extravagant floral displays - this traditional pub on the corner of Bayham Street and Crowndale Road is a splendid example.
