Terraced houses, Bayham Street
The second London home of Charles Dickens' childhood (1822-3) was at No.16 Bayham Street, now demolished, which stood off-frame to the left (though a plaque at No.141 records the connection). Today, the street is a mix of Victorian and 20th century housing. The houses pictured here probably give a good impression of what Dickens' family home would have looked like.

London Transport XA3, Camden Road ? 1966
The XA series were London Transport's first series of rear engined double deck buses, purchased for evaluation purposes. (The X element of the number represented eXperimental). Route 24 was the main route chosen for this purpose. Worth noting also are the general lack of traffic (it would be very difficult to get a clear shot of a moving bus today) and the shops. These include Randall's gents' second-hand clothing, Mrs Dabbs ("Ladies Clothing, Embroideries, etc. Bought"), J.Moss (Orthopaedic Mechanicians, Bespoke shoemakers and repairers), and a shop selling a variety of luggage and offering the recovering and repair of umbrellas, all indicative of a very different way of life. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
