Neasden Temple, London NW10

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, popularly known as the Neasden Temple, was Europe's first traditional Hindu temple (as distinct from aconverted secular building). BAPS is short for Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, a major organisation within the Swaminarayan sect of Hinduism.
The Mandir was designed and built on ancient Vedic principles of art and architecture. No iron, steel or lead was used in its construction. It was inaugurated in August 1995. In 2007 Time Out included the temple in its seven wonders of London, a list of the capital's seven most iconic buildings and landmarks.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir, NW10
The largest Hindu temple outside India is in Brentfield Road. Maybe I shouldn't say this but every time I see it all I can think of is the opening titles to "The Wonderful World of Disney" - 'When you wish upon a star.......'
